1-on-1 Training

Individual sessions with a qualified strength coach. Tailored to your starting point, your goals, and the equipment that works for your body. The starting place for most new members.

Train with a small group of like-aged athletes under a focused coach. Same form attention as 1-on-1, slightly more social, often more fun.

About the founder

Coached by a record-holder.

Over 50's Health was founded by a competitive powerlifter who holds multiple Australian Records, Oceania Records, and World Records. They are also an International Referee with World Powerlifting and an accredited Powerlifting Coach under the NCAS, with a Diploma in Sports & Exercise Nutrition.

The point of the gym isn't to produce competition lifters (though some members go that route). It's that the coaching, programming and recovery understanding you get is built by someone who has trained their own body through their 50s — not someone who learned the over-50 program from a textbook.

If you want to look after your fitness with someone who understands what it's like to train and recover as a lifter who is over fifty — needless to say, you'll be in good hands.

Programs and assessments are available across all six pathways above. New members welcome year-round.

First three sessions.

Assessment

Movement screen, strength baseline, goals conversation, medical considerations. About 45 minutes. No commitment.

02

Foundation block

Two to four sessions teaching the movement basics — squat, hinge, push, pull — at loads that respect your starting point.

03

Choose your path

From there: 1-on-1, group, powerlifting, online, or a mix. You're not locked in — programs change as you do.
